You’re constantly juggling the demands of your job, your family, and your inner turmoil. You feel overwhelmed and exhausted. Ongoing stress, along with unpleasant past memories, weighs heavily on you, making it hard to feel at ease.
You’re often caught in a cycle of people-pleasing, which leaves you feeling unappreciated and frustrated when others don’t reciprocate the kindness you offer. You struggle with feelings of loneliness and helplessness, and interpersonal conflicts only add to your stress, leaving you feeling unworthy and unsupported.
Communication has been challenging in your relationship, often resulting in arguments. Perhaps you find it difficult to express your needs and vulnerability, and the defenses you put up only hurt your partner and push them further away. You feel lost and disconnected.
You struggle with setting healthy boundaries and feel as though you're losing your own identity within the relationship. Despite seeing each other daily, you may still feel distant and disconnected from your loved one. Life stressors may be weighing heavily on you, impacting your love life. You have entered the next phase of your relationship, but you feel unsettled by changes in your relationship and anxious about what’s ahead.
Hi there, I am Jiayue, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
I am here to help!
I became a therapist because I am passionate about helping people find ease and peace in their lives. I believe that everyone deserves to be seen, heard, and emotionally cared for. Coming to the States for school all by myself as a young adult, I understand how heart-warming it can be when someone sees and understands your loneliness and sorrow when you feel lost. With empathy and compassion, I strive to make people feel more comfortable and secure with themselves and others. I also enjoy helping individuals connect the dots in their lives and develop a deeper understanding of themselves.
A lot of my clients come to therapy asking themselves:
- When can I stop trying so hard to keep everything together?
- Why do I feel unsettled all the time?
- How can I feel enough?
- What’s wrong with me?
Empowering you to feel capable of dealing with difficult situations and emotions.
Identifying and challenging negative assumptions about self and relationships, and exploring more helpful perspectives.
Teaching you how to set healthy boundaries, make space for yourself, and not lose yourself in relationships.
Assisting you in developing a deeper understanding and compassion for yourself.
With a background from the Syracuse University and experience with helping people maintain peace and calmness under high stress.
I’m here to help by:
Creating a safe space for you to process and discuss what’s been bothering you.
Validating your experiences, helping you understand that your feelings are valid and manageable.
Identifying the supports and skills you have for tough times, and coaching you with new skills when needed.
Exploring how you want your life to be, how you want to feel, and what are some steps that you can take to gradually get there.
Helping you see and celebrate your successes and positives, not just focusing on the “problems.”
Through our work together, you can expect to experience less anxiety, decreased depression, more positive self-talk, greater self-compassion, and increased self-confidence. I look forward to supporting you on this journey to a more fulfilling and balanced life.
Here are some kind words from one of my past clients and colleagues
“Jiayue, your knowledge and kindness is so admirable! Your clients are lucky to have you.”
"I have really enjoyed working alongside you, and trust that your clients are in great hands."
Your clients will be so lucky to work with you as I have been.
